Your classroom becomes the investigation team to solve a crime using science (blood typing and DNA electrophoresis) and their deductive reasoning skills. Students actively apply the basics of DNA analysis in order to solve the crime.

During this 45-60 minute video conference, your classroom will transform into a crime investigation lab as they use their science knowledge and deductive reasoning skills to help solve a crime. Using blood typing and electrophoresis lab results, students work interactively with the Lab Director at the Challenger Learning Center to eliminate suspects and draw conclusions about a crime.
Technical Requirements
- Videoconferencing system (a computer with a web cam at a minimum)
- It is recommended that each team have at least 2 computers; but if you have access to more computers, distribute them among the teams.
- Software (free and available on the Internet)

- LCD Projector or whiteboard
- Printer (network, optional)
- Camera (optional)
- All computers are linked to the Internet.
- The Communications Team uses the videoconferencing with one computer equipped with a webcam, a microphone, speakers, and videoconferencing software
- The videoconferencing system also permits Mission Control to see the students during the mission.
- A computer projection device and a large screen located in the front of the room that permits the students to see the Mission Commander
