An Earth scientist explains why the "great circle of fire" (volcanoes) exists and why seismic activity rings the Pacific Ocean.
Duration: 60 Minutes
Our Volcanoes e-Lab takes students on an exciting journey into the powerful world of volcanoes! Through a live, interactive lesson with a Challenger Learning Center educator, students discover how volcanoes form, explore the different types of eruptions, and investigate the forces that shape Earth's surface. Engaging demonstrations and hands-on activities bring geology to life while reinforcing key Earth science concepts in a fun and memorable way.
Your classroom will be divided into 5 teams (Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, etc.) with up to 6 students per team for a maximum number of 30 students per lab. It is recommended that each team have at least 2 computers; but if you have access to more computers, distribute them among the teams.
